Make a Difference in Recovery, Wherever You're Needed

Are you an RN or LPN who enjoys variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact? Behavioral Health Group (BHG) is seeking a Traveling Clinic Nurse to provide essential nursing and medication support at our opioid treatment centers across multiple states.

In this role, you'll bring your clinical skills to different BHG locations, helping ensure patients receive safe, consistent, and compassionate care when additional nursing support is needed. Whether covering staffing vacancies, supporting new center openings, or assisting during unexpected absences, you'll play an important role in maintaining continuity of care.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys travel, adapts quickly to new environments, and wants to make a difference in the lives of individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders.

What You'll Do

  • Travel to BHG treatment centers throughout your assigned region, potentially covering approximately half of the United States, to provide temporary nursing coverage based on operational needs.
  • Administer prescribed medications, including methadone, while maintaining accurate dosing records and strict medication accountability.
  • Assess and monitor patients, including evaluating appropriateness for dosing, observing responses to medication, and identifying changes in patient conditions.
  • Ensure accurate medication inventory, daily reconciliation, and compliance with DEA, state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors, Nursing Supervisors, counselors, and other clinical team members to support safe, effective patient care.
  • Quickly adapt to different treatment center environments, workflows, and patient populations while maintaining BHG's standards of care.
  • Support new nurse training, quality initiatives, and treatment center operations as needed.
  • Communicate proactively with nursing leadership regarding patient concerns, medication discrepancies, staffing needs, and operational challenges.

What We're Looking For

  • Active RN or LPN license in good standing, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as required for assignments.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including frequent air travel, overnight stays, and assignments of varying lengths.
  • Flexibility to adjust work locations and schedules based on treatment center needs.
  • Strong clinical judgment, medication administration skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and build positive relationships with new teams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, medication-assisted treatment, or outpatient nursing is preferred but not required.

Why Join BHG?
